An Institution Built From One Hard Lesson.
In the early 1980s, Charlie Scott entered the life insurance industry at the age of 22. By his late twenties, he'd broken through as a top producer, tracking toward six figures and on his way to achieving his dreams. Then a severe illness unexpectedly sidelined him for five months.
"With no income coming in, a critical realization hit: I'm making money, but if I can't work, who pays my rent? If I get my mother her dream home, who maintains her lifestyle? Relying solely on individual production was a fragile foundation for a dream."
That fragility became the problem FCPC was built to solve, not just for Charlie Scott, but for every agent who'd face the same exposed position. Three principles came out of it, and they've defined FCPC ever since.
