A Legacy of Mentorship and
Self-Reliance
Every company has a founding date. Ours is 1985, the year Charlie Scott originally founded CSO North America (The Charles Scott Organization) in Washington, DC. But the story starts earlier, with the men who inspired and mentored him.

Three Men, One Belief
The story of FCPC is simply the story of people helping people. Charlie Scott was mentored in the insurance business from Clint Lewis, a personal producer who built a six-figure income working independently in the 1970s with the Prudential Life Insurance company. Mr. Scott was also mentored by Joe Dudley, who started out selling door to door and built Dudley Haircare Products into a multimillion-dollar haircare company. Mr. Dudley had learned that same business from his own mentor, S.B. Fuller, who started with twenty-five dollars and a sixth-grade education, built Fuller Products into a company that trained a generation of entrepreneurs, including George Johnson of Johnson Products and John H. Johnson of Ebony and Jet Magazine. They worked in different decades and different industries, but they shared one belief: ownership, discipline, and self-reliance can lead any man or community to success.
A Mission That Has Grown
That belief became FCPC's mission. At the start, the mission was to help people end the cycle of poverty in their own lives. By the 1990s, more than a thousand agents had joined, several going on to build six- and seven-figure incomes, proof of what's possible.
In the 2000s, the mission grew again. Middle-class families were working hard and still one illness, one death, or one retirement shortfall away from falling behind. FCPC set out to help stop that slide.
A Legacy Still in Motion
Charlie Scott no longer runs FCPC day to day. He's since built companies in other industries, including healthcare. But FCPC still carries his mark, and the marks of Clint Lewis, Joe Dudley, and S.B. Fuller before him, in every family we protect and every agent we develop.
This Is Not Business As Usual
Whether you come to FCPC as a client or as an agent, you're joining a cause that goes back decades: ordinary people taking control of their economic future, and making sure the next generation can do the same.
